Countdown has begun...

There are only three days left on Survivor Island. The remianing Islanders ar as follows: Elisea, Lucita, Mahem and Evalola. The have been living in Isloation now for 7 weeks, both in real life and in second Life, actions and voicing through their avatars has been their only real means of communication, and only with each other. They have made friends, they have made enemies... but tonight they are calm and retrospective as the keen awareness that the experience they have shared is nearing an end.

It all means something now, and they are taking these memories made here into teh future with them. The place between the pals, the cargo boxes on the shore, the calming rush of the seascape. This morning they said they felt words were to little to explain their experience, magical and resonating. Mahem takes advantage of the moment of silence (as usual) to interject some thoughtful words, speaking directly to the island, and how it has embraced them, both the good and the ugly, their failures and successes are immortal on it's sands. He talked about the Islanders, those there with him, and those who have gone away and his feeling of their shared moments of intesity... and he paused to come to one unexpected conclusion: "The Women have won!"

There is a pear tree that has stood on the Island for 46 days now, an admonisment from the producers that reminds the players not to harvest what is not theirs. Later, at the Islanders camp, the discussion turns toward the pear tree, and stangely enough, an intruder that has taken some of their food. The Islanders are in for a grave discovery as a messenger arrives in teh form of the woman pear tree and informs them that Elisea has been stealing the food. Elisea denies this, claiming she has only ever taken enough to satisfy her hunger, and although she is outraged at the accusation, her companions remain loyal to her. No one knows who the stanger making the accusatins is, and some suspect it is a jaded fan, or a member of the production staff. Mahem does not believe Elisea took the food to cause intentional harm to the rest of them and lends her his support. With teh days growing short on the Island, the castaways decide that it is best to leave the past behind them and enjoy what time they have left.

Episode #6!

The countdown to the end has begun...

Like last Thursday, this weeks primetime elimination special took place in the magnificent setting of Pantelleria. There were three Nominees as you know, Lucita, Mahem and Alexander... for one of them, tonight it was over.

And it was newcomer Alexander Avro who said good-bye to the prize. The public voted, and in response, Alexander was sent back almost as soon as her arrived. Mahem and Lucita are both safe for another week. The challenge for this week that would elect a new leader amongst the remainding survivors was a Quiz. Elisea, Evalola and Moran found themselves in the spotlight, having to answer questions about their experience of the deserted Island. The winner for the second week in a row was Evalola, who seems incredibly determined to win the finale!

In a surprising turn of events, Moran found himself up for nomination for the very first time this week- by Mahem. Now there are only 5 players left and the world is wondering who will be the last survivor standing.

Will it be the neurotic Mahem, with his callous and brash attitude?
Will it be the distant Moran, who has decidedly kept himself on teh sidelines and away from drama?
Will it be Italian sweetheart Evalola who has won the hearts of many?
Perhaps Lucita, has her revelation regarding her age just bought her time, or has it won her the sympathy from the voting public?
Or Elisea, the perpetual victim?

Another week is gone, we will know soon.

Closer to the Ending

Every Thursday evening, the Stage during the Primetime Elimination special becomes a little more crowded with ex-players who. One of these ex players, along with Mauve, Guts, and LuCoronet is Louie. Now, Louie's stay on Survivor Island was brief, since he was eliminated after only 2 days for not following the guidelines and respecting the rules.

On the evening of the event, the stage has been set for another nail-biting elimination. Not only do the contestants have to face the show's host, Garrison, but they also have to face the friends (and foes) who have left the Island before them. Arriving centerstage directly from their mainstay on the sandy shores of the beach were the nominees Lucita and Irulan. Both women seemed particularly nervous, answering questions from the moderator, both intensely aware that one of them wouldn't be returning to the Island that has been their home for weeks.

But... before an elimination was to take place, we got to watch the contestants remaining on the island compete for immunity in an obstacle course! They had to run through a maze, and eventually compete in a jousting tournament "King of the Hill" style where two players attempted to knock each other off of a parcel. In the end, Evalola bested Elisea to move onto winning the race!

And then comes the part the live (and virtual) audience had been waiting for, the elimination. For an hour Lucita and Irulan sat in suspense as they watched their Island mates engage in activities on the large movie screen behind them, while the ex-contestants cheered on their favorite players. All of teh Islanders were brought one by one to the stage to nominate the player they thought should go home... Ultimately, Mahem and newcomer Alex were the two nominees for eviction.

And Irulan packs up her bags to leave the Island.

Lucita is safe for another week, but that doesn't mean she's too happy.

The new week started with a bang as a fight erupted between Lucita and Mahem, who told her he thought old people were luke babies, but with a wicked side. Now we all know Lucita's huge and very difficult revelation regarding her age had bonded her with her fellow contestants, or so we thought. Apparently, Mahem decided he would use it against her. He also claimed that Lucita herself is wicked, and it upset her so much to listen to his rantings that she said she had had enough and wanted to leave the game. Elisea and Evalola convince her to remains, reassuring her of her importance on the island, especially to her friend Elisea.

After the tumultous events of the evening, the Island returned to a much more pleseant state of peace...

...for now anyway...

Revelations

Now that the rains have subsided, things took a somber and compelling turn on the Island. As the castaways gathred around the campfire to discuss the events of the previous week, each one noted that Lucita seemed distant and quiet. It didn't take long for the others to question her departure from her typical self. Finally, when asked, she said thats he felt as if she has already lost, and that it was just a matter of time before they voted her off the show, she claimed that she felt alienated and disliked by the group members.

She had given up. She no longer felt like she was able to compete and had all but conceded her place in the game.

Naturally, the others jumped to assure her this was not the case and asked her why she felt she had no chance at winning... Lucita then brought forth a revelation that shook the very Island they made their home.

Lucita is a 75 year old woman, and while her Avtar is youthful and attractive, the player behind the facade was feeling tired and hopeless. The others reacted with enormous shock, but one thing united them - Their support for Lucita. For a moment in time, game politics had been set aside, and throught an emotionally riveting campfire conversation, Lucita explained that she believed this was her opportunity to bridge the gap between generations, to show the world that just because she is older, does not mean she is incapable of advancing with the rest of society, she loves her computer, she loves Second Life, and despite her age, her mind is young, sharp and beautiful. Lucita had kept her age a secret deliberately since her arrival on the Island, and felt that this was the opportunity to speak openly and honestly about her situation. The other castaways shared their thoughts with herm explaining age is only in the mind, and one is only as old as they believe they are. However, Lucita claimed thats he was tired of living with prejudice and being labeled and misjudged because of her age. She does not want to begin limiting her life experiences and retire into obscurity just because of the years behind her... there is still so much left ahead.

However, Lucita's fate is not yet decided. Will this weeks revelation spare her from elimination in the next round? We can only wait and see.

Episode 4 Recap!

The 4th episode of Celebrity Survivor: Second Life was probably the most emotional - Since the players have been on the island, 3 weeks have drifted by and now the declaration of a winner is impending… The eliminations are taking it's toll on the Islanders, and each sits on pins and needles wondering who will be nominated next! Elisea and guts were each nervously questioning their future since both had been nominated for elimination last week…who will remain on the island?

The show changed locations! For this week the stage is the magical atomsphere of Pantelleria, the rebuild of the famous south italian island. There were special appearances by the opinionist Ryder Mcleod, the avatar of a famous italian blogger, and the previously eliminated players Mauve Applemoor and Lucoronet Vita.

The audience decided ultimately that Guts had to leave the game, so elisea can remain on the island. She's really happy about this because she has been a diiligent player and wants to win the game!

At the end of the show there was a surprise awaiting the Islanders: Newcome Alexander Avro made his first appearance to take the place of LuCoronet who had made an early vouluntary exit.

MONSOON! ~ Come on baby, light my fire.

A Monsoon has hit the Island! Over the last couple of days, a torrential rain has been perlting the ground, lightening flashes through the sky, and the Survivors must act accordingly or suffer the consequences. In a large shelter, each one of our Islanders, including the new player, Alexander, rest wearily as the darkness outside seems perpetual. With the new enviromental conditions, the Islanders realized that it was talking a toll of their health and energy (Remember, their life statistics are measured by a HUD they wear, and are suseptible to any condition their environment or circumstance proposes!) and as a result, found a way to make a fire.

It seemed a blessing from the production Gods that chinks of burnable wood began appearing in places throughout the island, and although our survivors had to wander out into the frigid cold to get it, it was worth the effort! As long as they keep wood on their fire, they should stay safe and warm...

...But if that fire goes out, they risk getting sick, or possibly some other affliction might befall them. The staff is amazingly innovative, and even the Islanders aren't exactly sure how they could be affected for certain by changing conditions. This world on the Island is very complex, and ingeniusly devised. Every care must be taken to ensure their health and safety while in the Wilds, for Death here is possible, and that means immediate elimination.
